In this episode of The Gate 15 Interview, Andy Jabbour speaks with Jesse Sythe, E-ISAC GridEx Program Manager. Jesse has spent over two decades in the electricity industry. From serving as an aircraft carrier reactor operator on the West Coast to transmission operator on the East Coast, his career has been steeped in operations. Over the years, his primary focus has been on the improvement of operations, processes, and procedures through emergency response exercises. Starting in 2013, Jesse coordinated GridEx II through VI at Eversource’s Connecticut control center, managing inject and MSEL development, developing full-fidelity simulator scenarios, and developing action items following the exercise. Joining E-ISAC in 2022, he now manages the entire GridEx program, including planning the exercise and following up on action items and recommendations.
