Mandie is trained as a research scientist, and a grant writer. She has a Masters in Biochemistry and a Bachelors in Chemistry, and she is certified by the state of North Carolina Department of Health and licensed to safely pick, identify, and sell wild foraged mushrooms in seven mid-atlantic states. Mandie has also been a keynote speaker and teacher at many mycology festivals and mushroom related events across the country.
Now, with that entire history of achievements, Mandie decided to leave it all behind so that she could pursue life as a mycologist.
