Tyler Wojciak, host of Locked On Irish, answers Notre Dame fans' biggest questions ahead of the Fighting Irish's top-10 showdown with BYU in Provo! In this Friday Mailbag, Tyler starts by reacting to the latest reports about the College Football Playoff expanding to 24 teams in 2027, what it means for Notre Dame's independence, and whether the Irish should increase their offensive tempo against BYU. He also breaks down the importance of turnovers, explosive plays, and third-down defense in deciding Saturday's matchup. Then, Tyler tackles the growing debate over Jonaz Walton's role in Notre Dame's backfield, explains how the Irish can contain BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier, and discusses whether the altitude in Provo could become a factor. Finally, Tyler compares this matchup to Notre Dame's thrilling 2023 victory over Duke, examines how well Marcus Freeman's team needs to play to beat BYU, and discusses whether a statement road win would finally earn the Irish more respect from the national media.
