She was on track for a career in law, studying at the London School of Economics and interning at some of Singapore's top law firms. But instead of becoming a lawyer, Frances Tan chose to chase music.
At just 25, she's represented Singapore at the Commonwealth Song Contest, helped the country win the Public Vote, released her debut EP, published a book, and earned recognition on the international stage.
So what made her walk away from a conventional career? And is her story part of a bigger shift in how Gen Z defines ambition, success and fulfilment?
On The Agenda, Hongbin Jeong speaks with Singaporean Singer-Songwriter, Frances Tan, to find out more.
