A heated argument at a Chong Pang coffee shop over a personal water bottle has divided the internet and raised a surprisingly contentious question: should we be allowed to bring our own plain water into coffee shops?

We debate whether water should really count as an “outside drink”, why coffee shops may want to protect their drinks business, and whether “their shop, their rules” is enough to settle the argument.
