Chicago White Sox GM Chris Getz faces pressure to transform from a good GM to a great GM after a quiet trade deadline left critical roster holes and ALCS hopes unfulfilled. With the starting rotation and outfield as key focus areas, Getz must show he can land impact talent. Host Todd Welter breaks down Getz’s offseason strategy.
He also discusses trade proposals circulating online—including potential blockbuster moves for stars like Yordan Alvarez—and debates the value of flipping top prospects for established major league arms. Insights on the development of young pitchers Hagen Smith and Grant Taylor, bullpen needs, and outfield uncertainty round out this no-nonsense analysis of what it will take for the White Sox to build sustained success—and avoid another what-might-have-been season.
