I went to the LA Premiere of Józefa—and stayed for the exclusive post-screening Q&A!
In this special episode, we are taking you straight to the Lumiere Music Hall for the Los Angeles premiere of Józefa.
First, join me on the red carpet as I connect with the film's writer, director, producer, and star, Kathryn Kalucki.
Known for her incredible career casting major Hollywood projects like The Walking Dead: Dead City, Michael Bay's Ambulance, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, Kathryn shares how she transitioned into directing to bring this deeply personal piece of history to life. I also catch up with actor Kranthi Setty, composer Arvis Yao, and editor Andrew Gibson. Afterward, listen in to the full, emotional live Q&A audio featuring the special guest creators.
About the Film:
Inspired by the true story of Kathryn Kalucki's grandmother, Józefa follows a plagued Polish-Catholic refugee separated from her sister during World War II. As she struggles to survive in a displacement camp in India, she must grapple with her traumatic past and an uncertain future.
