Sometimes, one of the hardest things to do in horsemanship is to do nothing at all.

Years ago, someone told me, “If you don't have 10 seconds to sit, pause, and let that horse appreciate the release, you need to go ahead and get off.” And, that's advice I've carried with me ever since.

In this episode, I'm talking about the importance of slowing down, being intentional with our releases, and giving our horses time to process what they've just learned.

Join me as I share why the most productive 10 seconds of your training session may be the ones where you do absolutely nothing.
