The privately funded initiative proposes a one hundred sixty-five-mile elevated guideway linking Laredo and Monterrey through a network of autonomous freight shuttles. The system would feature secure terminals connected by a closed-loop automated corridor designed to bypass traditional border bottlenecks, with the capacity to handle as many as ten thousand trailers per day in each direction and a targeted twenty thirty launch.
