Calgary Flames shake up their lineup as Mikael Backlund’s injury sidelines the captain, and Ben Jones earns a well-deserved NHL call-up after a scorching start with the Wranglers. Could these unexpected moves spark new opportunities for Calgary’s forward depth, or is this just the beginning of more roster turbulence?
Peter Klein breaks down the implications of Backlund’s absence, Jones’s hot hand, and who might be next to step up from the Wranglers. Peter also looks at who could next go out the door, with trade rumours around Zach Whitecloud and Morgan Frost heating up.
