When women gather, they gossip. They talk behind someone's back, they spread rumors. When men gather, they simply hang out, they network. Of though in reality men certainly have more media time to talk, and in the view of some sociologists, gossip more than women, we just don't associate gossiping with heterosexual men. The image of chatty badmouthing women persists. Why is it so?
