This weekend Iran launched strikes against Israel following Israeli operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Israel struck back overnight — all while a ceasefire nominally remains in place. Commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz stays suppressed, Iran continues to absorb the economic pain of a U.S. blockade, and Beirut's government grows increasingly hostile to Hezbollah's presence.
