The Grizzlies ended up with their target as Cam Boozer was available to be taken with the third pick in the NBA Draft. After a year of tanking, Memphis was able to take a potential cornerstone to build around. 

After selecting Cam Boozer, the adventure for Grizzlies fans continued as the team traded down, eventually landing at the 21 spot where they selected Karim Lopez, a 19-year old Mexican forward. In the process of trading back they ended up collecting five future 2nd round picks.
