Grief author, speaker and advocate Kirsten O'Connor is on a mission to break the silence around grief, suicide and the people left behind. In April 2024, her daughter Kahlia died by suicide. In the aftermath, Kirsten began writing to survive - and to help others feel less alone. Kirsten talks to Coast Access Radio about the tour she is embarking on from October through to November. In every stop, Kirsten will meet local people and organisations supporting their communities through grief, loss and difficult conversations. Kirsten will be in Paraparaumu on Saturday, 31st of October at the Paraparaumu Library and on Saturday, 14th November at the Loss & Grief Centre, 1 Kapiti Road Paraparaumu.
