Episode 98 is about longevity with my guest, Dr. Brent Ridge, MD. Dr. Ridge is a physician trained in geriatrics and has spent his career thinking about how we age and how we can age better. He completed his medical training at Columbia University and Harvard University. His MBA is from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He was Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City, where he founded the Martha Stewart Center for Healthy Living. Dr. Ridge is also co-founder, alongside his husband, author Josh Kilmer-Purcell, of Beekman 1802, the skin health and lifestyle brand that grew out of their upstate New York goat farm.
Brent & Josh are the winners of season 21 of ABC’s reality competition show The Amazing Race. They were also the subjects of their own reality show, The Fabulous Beekman Boys, documenting their experience founding a skincare business on their goat farm.
Be sure to watch Dr. Tabitha Dell'Angelo's TED Talk on the importance of play.
