As we approach the Floating Offshore Wind 2026 conference in Aberdeen, we sat down with Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, Angela Hepworth, to get her take on all things floating and deepwater offshore wind!

Angela was joined by our usual hosts, Director of Strategy at ORE Catapult, Tom Quinn, and Head of Analysis and Insights, Emily Rees. Also joining them was our new Deepwater Wind Strategic Theme Lead, Jason Paterson, who's fresh into his role having recently joined ORE Catapult.

The conversation spanned floating wind and the economic opportunity it poses for Scotland, the concept of deepwater and hybrid offshore wind and how we can reduce the cost of getting floating turbines in the water.
