338 - SoF Ch.69 - Black Lightning And Bloody Carpets

In this episode, we dive into the chaotic and bloody events of chapter 69 of Soul of the Fire, which sets the stage for the next chapter as the final one of the book. We watch as Richard Rahl takes extreme measures to banish the chimes and reclaim his magic, drawing a reverse grace and using black lightning to blast a poisonous lake, sending a toxic waterfall down the valley. Meanwhile, Zedd finally escapes his raven body only to find himself fleeing the oncoming flood with his horse, Spider. The real climax, however, takes place in Anderith, where Dalton Campbell finally snaps after Stein boasts about scalping Franca and sleeping with Dalton's wife, leading to a brutal disembowelment and a carpet-saving defenestration.
