Bobby and Jim are back, better lit and somehow less well.
This week starts exactly where any respectable podcast should: Penny the dog is on hormones, hot tubs become a public-health concern, and Jim introduces Bobby to the gay “sniff test.” From there, they investigate why there is apparently no such thing as “out of left field” between gay men, the declining strength of gay-bar pours, and why Bobby can organize everyone’s life except his own.
Then Bobby returns from Finland, Estonia, Sweden and Ireland with questions. Why does Europe have trains, ferries and functioning public transportation while America has beige? Why was there unlimited wine coming out of a TAP on a Baltic ferry? And how did seeing Armin van Buuren underneath a bridge become one of the classiest parts of the trip?
Also: realizing you were hotter at 28 than you knew, the chaos surrounding a canceled gay cruise, airplane bathroom crimes against humanity, and a surprisingly sincere conversation about why everyone is so terrified of turning 40.
It’s sex, travel, aging, gay culture, bad decisions and several arguments nobody asked us to solve.
Welcome back to NOT WELL.
⚠️ Explicit. Very explicit.
