In early September 2025, police were called to an impound lot in Hollywood, California. The staff reported a horrible stench coming from a black Tesla that had been on the lot for three days. When officers opened the front trunk of the Tesla, they found the decomposing and dismembered remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Shortly after, investigators learned that the Tesla belonged to 20-year-old singer David Anthony Burke aka D4vd. The investigation told the story of a teenage girl who’d been groomed, assaulted, and murdered before she even had the chance to grow up. Now, the community and the world await justice for Celeste.
