Hello guys!
I hope you’re all doing well. I can’t believe we’re already in the middle of fall, the weather is getting colder, most of the leaves have almost fallen, and everything outside is slowly shifting into that darker late-autumn mood.
Today’s episode is going to be a little different and definitely darker than usual. It’s still very much driven by progressive house, but this time with a few touches of minimal and techno along the way.
As always, you’ll hear plenty of fresh music, upcoming releases, tracks from friends, and some of my own material. There’s new music from Cristoph & Seizmic, Connor Martin, Cendryma, Durante, Nikhila Hashen with Juan Deminicis on remix duties, as well as a few upcoming and unreleased tracks from myself, including collaborations with Joono and Onnoira.
A few tracks actually made it into this mix completely by accident. While looking through my laptop for something that would fit the key and direction of the set, I came across an old folder full of music I made five or more years ago. I hadn’t listened to some of those tracks in a very long time, so I thought why not bring a couple of them back to life and play them in the show?
You’ll also find a few older gems in here, including the Cirez D remix of Christian Smith & John Selway’s “Total Departure” and the Cirez D edit of BETON’s “Directions.” I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if some of you have never heard “Total Departure” before, which makes it even more fun to bring it back into a mix.
Overall, this episode feels darker, more hypnotic and slightly more raw than usual, while still staying within the progressive sound that defines the show.
I hope you enjoy the mix.
Cheers,
Ev Rymd
