Tucked away off Calhoun Square on Abercorn Street sits Savannah’s infamous Espy House, a home steeped in dark, conflicting Prohibition-era legends. One local tale claims the corrupt, bootlegging Judge Espy covered up the brutal mob execution of his own son, Wesley, after a gangland romance went sour. Another even darker rumor attributes the hauntings to a drunken domestic dispute between the Judge and his wife that accidentally crushed Wesley’s young daughter beneath a heavy marble kitchen table. In this vault episode, Allen Sircy digs into the gruesome folklore behind the property and the tragic apparitions that visitors still claim to see wandering the halls and staring from the second-story windows.
