After eleven years of war, King Shinniesseus sets sail for Inverness, eager to reunite with his beloved. But his journey home is far more treacherous than the battlefield, as he must face the deadly monsters and vengeful gods of the Championship to survive.

Welcome to the annual Wyness Shuffle Season Preview podcast! The yearly gargantuan beast of a pod that will take you an entire Trojan war to complete, packed full of analysis of all our summer signings, pre-season matches, new kits, league lookahead, the annual encyclopaedic chat about all of our Championship rivals, and an exclusive chat with the Returning King Graham Shinnie,

All that, and 32 seasons-worth of ICT references packed into three hours of wild conjecture and mild distraction.

Let’s Shuffle!

00.01.04: Hello: Sandy Sutherland, Stevie Riley, Lee Tarling, Andrew Young, and Andrew Moffat all say hello, talk about our holidays, the world cup, and what we are most looking forward to in this momentous ‘return to the championship’ season (great pubs, teams not parking the bus, & early season optimism).

00.06.34: New signings - Lovely fresh new signings. Scott Kellacher will have a plethora of talent at his disposal, including new signings Graham Shinnie, Ryan Duncan, Big Hamzad, Morgan Bates, and Lee teaches us how to properly pronounce Noa Boutin.

00.29.33: What’s it all about Alfies? The Alfies, Bavidge and Stewart, have returned for a third spell at the Sarens PSG Stadium. But where will Bavidge play, can we again get the best out of Stewart, and how will they fare stepping up a level?

00.32.50: The Squad: Allan, Remi, Spoony, Joe and Liam have all returned. We talk about what each of their roles could be this season, discuss the rest of the squad, and could we see a Stone Cold Steve Austin sound of smashing glass return for Billy Mckay at some point? Plus a look at the young players that could step up this season like Shae Keogh and James Clark.

00.44.15 Player Sponsorship: Now, last season we sponsored a player for the very first time. Sponsoring a player’s home shirt normally costs £450. An away shirt costs £330. But sponsoring a player isn't something everybody can afford. So, that’s why we’ve put together TWS player sponsorship. So get involved, for a donation of your choice and you could win a player’s shirt at the end of the season.

00.46.53: What Yi Sayin Graham Shinnie?!!: 2-year deal, 34, returns to the club nearly 11 years to the day since his final match in the 2015 Scottish Cup Final, where he captained the side to a 2–1 win against Falkirk FC at Hampden Park. Stevie spoke with The Legend.

01.09.10: The Club: We’ve talked players, we’ve chatted management, we will talk about opposition but what about ICTFC itself. Behind the scenes, off the pitch. What’s been going on over the summer? We discuss a much-needed update for the aesthetic nature of the stadium. Lee got very excited about the shop and spent too much money, there’s a good bit of love for the away shirt, and we discuss the sponsor. Plus, the Community Hub goes from strength to strength, with North Caley side Inverness Athletic moving into their permanent home for the new season.

01.23.52: Championship Knowledge: Your one-hour encyclopaedic analysis of every championship club for the 26/27 season. A massive thank-you to all the supporters who got back to us with supremely detailed information on signings, managers, stadiums, and expectations for the season ahead. Some of the key points: Lesser Hampden is ‘a soulless experience’, Arbroath are offering a new delicacy: the smokie pie, everyone loves an Inverness away day, no one likes a Livingston away day, Alex Samuel has become a Christlike figure at Partick Thistle, 9 out of 10 fans think Stenny will be stone last, and who eats a cake at the football?

02.24.10: Potential summer signings: The ICT squad is almost complete, but who might the manager be looking at from the pool of free agents still available?

02.34.07: Pre-Season: We look at all the games in pre-season against Cove, New Saints, Clach, Nairn plus the league cup action. Who looks good? Who looks like they need to sharpen up? What systems have been utilised? Plus an analysis of expectations for the season.

02.42.36: League Lookahead: We look forward to the start of the proper season and the league opener at home to Dunfermline, the exciting and unpredictable proposition of Arbroath Away, then Partick at home and finally Stenny away at the end of the month.

02.51.26: Predictions: The lads have varying views on where ICT will finish at the end of the season, but who is an optimist and who is a pragmatist?

02.55.37: Competition Time: Back for season 26/27, its competition time, and your chance to win a commemorative print from last season’s title winning season.

There’s it!
