We're talking to Nicholas Jubber, a travel writer with a passion for the history of storytelling, and the evolution of myths and fairytales all over the world, from the deep past to our present day!

Nick tells the story of 'The Flea' from the Italian fairytale collection The Tale of Tales before telling us about his new book The Fairytellers: A Journey Into the Secret History of Fairytales. We explore Nick’s love for fairytales in childhood, the identity of seven forgotten tellers and the stories they brought to us, and the unique characteristics of fairy tales and their ongoing power and appeal in our contemporary culture.

The Fairytellers: A Journey Into the Secret History of Fairytales has just been published and is available now from all good retailers. Reading is recommended! You can find out more about Nick and his work at http://www.nickjubber.com and follow him @jubberstravels on Twitter.
