The free version of Episode 371 of Investing in Bizarro World is now live.
This week, Nick and Gerardo break down gold’s bounce off key support, silver’s rebound, the dollar slipping back below 101, and why a softer inflation setup may give the Fed cover to pause instead of hiking again.
Gold is not fully back to bullish yet, but holding the $3,900 area kept the ugly $3,400 scenario off the table for now. Meanwhile, silver bounced from the mid-$50s, the 10-year yield moved below 4.50%, and sector rotation continues beneath the surface as tech softens and rate-sensitive areas like real estate, utilities, financials, insurance, and health care start to catch a bid.
From there, the conversation turns to uranium and nuclear power. Long-term uranium contracts are pushing new highs, four small modular reactors have now reached criticality, Canada rolled out a new nuclear plan, Cameco flagged more supply risk, and global heat waves are once again exposing the weakness of electric grids that desperately need reliable baseload power.
Then things get fully Bizarro: America’s 250th birthday, U.S.-Israel military integration, Trump’s crypto windfall, Air Force One gifts, supersonic flight, Supreme Court wins and losses, Washington state taxes, Fourth Amendment protections, the Pope’s warning on AI, and whether the iPhone is somehow birth control.
