In this episode, I’m diving into some of the debates and personal preferences that seem to come up over and over again in the overlanding world. Does your truck need to stay clean, or is being covered in dirt part of the experience? Should all your gear have a permanent home on your rig, or is a modular setup better? And are you someone who plans and pre-stages everything ahead of a trip, or are you throwing gear in the truck at the last minute?

I’ll share where I land on each of these, but more importantly, talk about why I don’t think there’s necessarily a “right” way to do any of it.

And finally, I’m tackling one of my favorite debates: overlanding vs. car camping. Does the label really matter? In my opinion, if you’re getting out, exploring, camping, and having adventures with your vehicle, call it whatever you want.

Let me know where you fall on these debates in the comments—I’m curious how differently everyone approaches overlanding!
