#452 Today's Boondoggle -Coming up for air with Brendan Shane of The Nocturnal Affair
Did KISS & Slipknot Create The Nocturnal Affair? 🎤🤘
Bill sits down with Brendan Shane, the powerhouse baritone frontman of The Nocturnal Affair, and this one goes DEEP! From dreaming of being a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger to getting hooked on KISS, singing Grease as a kid, and leveling up as a choir student belting Slipknot — Brendan's origin story is one for the books.
We get into how The Nocturnal Affair was born out of the Vegas music scene, the massive role Disturbed's John Moyer played in the band's journey, and what it was like touring with Fozzy and rocking the legendary Chris Jericho Rock N Rager Cruise — including an unforgettable cover of Haddaway's "What Is Love" that had the whole boat going wild!
We also break down the sci-fi concept behind their music video for "Benefit of Doubts," the inevitable Peter Steele comparisons, their upcoming European tour with Fear Factory, and Brendan's deep ties to the world of horror — including his connection to director Eli Roth.
Buckle up, this episode absolutely SLAPS! 🤘
Is Brendan Shane the most underrated baritone in modern rock — and is The Nocturnal Affair about to take over the world?
