They include shootings, stabbings, beatings, and bodies found in the Grand River. Serial killers, unsolved homicides: Even if detectives believe they know who committed the crime, they might be lacking those few pieces of evidence needed to bring charges. But with time, suspects often get convicted or arrested on other charges.
