The Lee's Summit Fire Department discusses PulsePoint, a free 911-connected mobile app that alerts citizens trained in CPR when it is needed nearby in a public location. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time. PulsePoint empowers CPR-trained citizens to help improve patient outcomes and save lives by initiating CPR earlier and increasing the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) before emergency responders arrive on the scene.
