Healthcare organizations are increasingly challenged by limited budgets and growing care needs. Identifying process improvement is one approach to tackling this challenge. Monitoring and improving using expanding volumes of health information system data is a golden opportunity. In this episode of the TIBCO Tech Talks podcast, David Baltar Boilève, a data scientist at Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti (HULA) in Galicia, Spain, describes an important collaboration project with TIBCO LABS as part of a #TIBCO4Good initiative. HULA and TIBCO are reviewing patient and department data using a process mining technique to develop insights into the underlying process and accelerate the patient journey. The goal is to provide input into investment decisions and achieve specific patient care improvements.
