The STARchitect Who Rebuilt Ground Zero: Daniel Libeskind on his Blueprint of Memories

As the 25th anniversary of September 11th approaches, world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind depicts how he became the architect for the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site. Born to Holocaust survivors in a Polish homeless shelter, Daniel didn't complete his first building until age 52. Yet, his vision for what he calls "memory foundations" was chosen out of 5,200 entries to redesign the 16-acre World Trade Center site.

Daniel shares the emotional story of walking into the bedrock of Ground Zero and shaping history with his vision for the iconic 1,776-foot Freedom Tower and slurry wall memorial.
