In this episode of the LC Parents Podcast, part of the Fully Devoted Family series, Ally Evans talks with Justin Edge and his daughter Brooklyn Edge about the spiritual habit of serving. Justin shares how watching his parents quietly serve neighbors — fixing a hot water tank, delivering a meal, showing up before they were even asked — shaped how he and his wife, Sheena, have led their own family. Brooklyn shares what it was like to start serving two-year-olds at just 12 years old, and how that habit has carried into adulthood as she prepares to build a "third generation" of serving with her fiancé.

Ally, Justin, and Brooklyn talk through what serving actually means (putting others first), why it doesn't require being a Bible scholar or having it all together, and how even a busy, blended, multi-sport family can find room to serve. They also unpack how kids as young as third grade can start serving during their second service hour, and why consistency — not perfection — is what makes a lasting impact.
