The Colorado Avalanche have one of the most talented young defensive groups in the NHL led by 2017 4th overall selection Cale Makar and 2019 4th overall selection Bowen Byram. In addition to these two elite top line defensive talents, the organization also has Samuel Girard who has been impressive in his first two seasons and Conor Timmins who is ready to come back from injury.
