Lebanese army troops began deploying in the southern Lebanese town of Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh on Tuesday in a first test of a U.S.-brokered framework between Israel and Lebanon. The plan sees Lebanese army troops confiscating Hezbollah’s weapons in parts of southern Lebanon and phased withdrawals of Israeli troops. Sarit Zehavi, Founder and President of the Alma Research and Education Center, was asked by KAN reporter Naomi Segal for her assessment of the pilot plan.
