25 years ago, the World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance took place in Durban, South Africa. It was August 31-September 7, 2001, extended by a day to the 8th. Israel's ambassador to South Africa at the time was Tova Herzl. She speaks to KAN's David Ze'ev about the conference and her tumultuous time in South Africa which led to her early retirement from the foreign service.
