The 7th Month is here. For this Hungry Ghost Festival special, Friday Night Live returns to some of the strongest seventh-month encounters from the Supernatural Confessions archives. A father appears to come home twice. A child struggling in a bathtub is left with a mark nobody expected. A familiar HDB block suddenly has no lift and no staircase. And then there are the warnings generations of Singaporeans grew up hearing: don’t disturb the offerings, be careful where you step, and perhaps there was a reason the older generation kept telling us not to do certain things during this month. We’ll also revisit a series of Hungry Ghost Festival encounters from Maisha, involving two red candles, a woman in a lift, a crying boy beside a drain, and one night she still cannot account for. Are there really more encounters during the seventh month, or are we simply more aware of what might already be around us? Real stories. Real people. The unexplained.
