Cleveland Guardians backs are against the wall yet again, needing to win two games in a row in Tampa Bay against the Rays in the ALCS to advance to the World Series - or go home for a LONG winter. So as they look to rally on the road in the ALCS the pitching staff faces exhaustion and Tampa Bay Rays’ depth has won so far. Can Tanner Bibee and the slumping Guardians offense ignite a comeback after Yandy Diaz boldly predicts Cleveland’s season will end in Game 6?
Justin Lada and Jeff Ellis break down the key moments that set the Guardians behind 3-2, dissecting high-leverage bullpen moves in Games 4 and 5. We also attempt to evaluate pitching plans for Game 6, the impact of repeated reliever exposure, and if Austin Hedges and Nathaniel Lowe can inspire another improbable postseason run. Will the Guardians flip the script in Tampa and force a Game 7, or does the Rays’ unparalleled bullpen and lineup flexibility seal Cleveland’s fate?
