This is a universe undergoing immense change, mainly due to the rise of so-called first party fraud which has surged globally. This is in contradistinction to third party fraud and that of course is when a third party has hijacked another’s credit card or debit card and made fraudulent purchases.
First party fraud is when the cardholder denies the legitimacy of a charge he or she in fact actually made.
