Sunday Septembre 6th the starting gun went of in Les Sables d'Olonne and thereby sending 16 solosailors out on a 7-9 months round the world adventure without stops. We sat down with the only female sailor in the fleet Helga Marie Løvenskiold Kveseth, also known as Mara, the day before start. Here is her tale on the adventures that lies ahead of her on the Golden Globe Race 2026.
