What is it about the world today that has us less invested in everything that we do? We pass on music after 10 seconds just because the intro to one song was odd, and then never listen to that band again. We record an entire concert on our phones and never look up, failing to live in the moment. We do everything for social media, and are beholden to an algorithm we dont understand.

It wont be until the individual stands up for him/herself and says no more. If anything since the start of the 2020's has shown us, this has to be the case. But, how do we speak up and stand against the norm? Well, here is an idea.

Sven from the German metalcore band Rising Insane is back on the Chord Progression Podcast once again with the band's newest album "Deathrace" available August 21st. Join us for the deep dive into the idea of the album as we talk about:

- How Rising Insane was able to add the features they did on their songs to enhance the already created versions, and how they were able to be more experimental with modern riffs while still holding true to the styles that they grew up on.

- The meaning of the album "Deathrace" and how it is a critique of the world since the beginning of the 2020s, a commentary that could be seen as political for a non-political band.

- Why we, as a society, have become less invested & less involved in the lives we lead based on the the world focus around AI, social media algorithms, and content that is rotting our brains from the inside out.

A fun album and conversation that also takes a powerful turn. Tap the subscribe button for more episodes like this.
