We speak to Deputy Chief Meteorologist and keen stormchaser, Dan Holley, about marvelling at weather extremes safely, how the Met Office chooses to name storms, and AI's role in weather prediction.

In late 2025, we spent the day speaking with meteorologists and experts about what this iconic institution does as a powerhouse of weather data analysis and science communication, and also to explore how climate change is impacting the weather we experience every day.
