Rebekah Koffler is a Russian-born former U.S. intelligence officer who served as a Russian Doctrine and Strategy specialist in the Defense Intelligence Agency from 2008 until late 2016. Working with the DIA and the CIA’s National Clandestine Service, she led “red” teams during war games and delivered classified briefings to top U.S. military commanders, NATO ministers, the directors of the CIA and DIA, the White House National Security Council, and senior congressional staff. She is the author of Putin’s Playbook: Russia’s Secret Plan to Defeat America and currently works as a writer, commentator, and national security consultant whose work has appeared in outlets including Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and The Hill. Born and raised in the Soviet Union, she immigrated to the United States as a young woman and has attributed her strongly pro-America and pro-capitalism views to her experiences under the Soviet system.
