Changed by the Gospel | 1 Thessalonians 1:1–10

1 and 2 Thessalonians: The Church on the Move | October 4, 2026

What does a life changed by the gospel look like? For the believers in Thessalonica, it was evident in their work of faith, labor of love, and steadfastness of hope—even in the midst of hardship.

Join us as we explore how the gospel transforms our lives, turns us from idols to the living and true God, and makes our faith an example to those around us.

In this message, we’ll see that:

• The gospel should lead to increasing works of faith.
• The gospel allows us to truly love and to be loved.
• The gospel gives us an increasing amount of hope.

Every believer in Christ should be known by their growing faith, love, and hope. As we serve God and await the return of Jesus, we’ll consider how these qualities are taking shape in our own lives.

This week’s homework: 1 Corinthians 15:50–58
Read, reflect, respond, and rest.
