Everything old is new again this week on Breakfast All Day. Here's what we reviewed in our latest episode:

  • MOANA (2026). If you've seen "Moana" (2016), you've seen "Moana." Disney's going back to the animation well one more time for their latest live-action remake. The songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda are the stars again, but newcomer Catherine Laga'aia has an appealing presence in the title role. Dwayne Johnson is back as the demigod Maui (of course). In theaters.
  • THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING: WAS IT GREAT OR WERE YOU 8?. This is our favorite game to play. This time, Alonso chose a film from his childhood to see how it holds up today. Sean Connery and Michael Caine co-star in this 1975 action epic from legendary director John Huston. If you've seen it, is it still great? Rentable and streaming in a variety of places.
  • MOVIE NEWS LIVE! Lots to talk about always including early reactions to Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" (we're seeing it Monday morning and will have an out-of-the-theater reaction), Emmy nominations, the new "Dune: Part Three" trailer, Louise Lasser and more. Join us Fridays at Noon Pacific.
