This was not the first time a friend had appeared in Pablo's dreams.
Sometimes people from different parts of his life would return — people he had loved, people he had worked with, people who had helped him, and people who had looked out for him. Sometimes it was a beautiful girl from the past. Sometimes it was somebody he had only known briefly, but who had appeared at exactly the right moment.
When Pablo woke up, he was left with a deep feeling of love, connection and memory — as though people from his past, present and even his future had somehow called in to see him.
