Pablo woke in the late afternoon. For a moment he was not sure if he had been sleeping for one hour or many hours, and the light had changed while he was asleep.
He remembered the dream only in pieces:
A young woman,
A book on the table,
An open window,
A page turning in the wind,
And seasons that were not quite the usual seasons.
He thought about taking a walk along the beach, not to solve the dream, not even to understand it completely—he did not need it. Only to let the air move around him just for a while.
Sometimes a walk helps things settle. Sometimes the body remembered before the mind did, and he knew this.
So Pablo stood quietly for a moment, listening in the afternoon. He did not need to know where everything was going. He only needed to stay steady for this moment. And for now, that was enough.
