Without Oz Clarke there might not be a White Wine Question Time. Is possible we'd have called this podcast Gin & Tonic Question Time (Coming soon to a podcast platform near you!) It's absolutely fair to say that Oz, alongside Jilly Goolden, changed the we we drink. But wine tasting was a skill and hobby he'd developed at Oxford University and he was well on his way to becoming a West End Star when opportunity knocked on the 80s TV show 'Food & Drink' thanks to the television brain of Peter Bazelgette (who later went on to turn Big Brother into an enormous hit).


This is a fascinating story, told by one of the great story-tellers. If EVER there was an episode to listen to with a glass of white wine THIS IS IT!
