EP35 – New Year, Same Old Waffle
It’s 2017 and the first When We Waffle of the new year — although absolutely nothing appears to have improved.
There’s plenty of chat from the team, Kat’s Corner returns, and Laurie somehow gets onto George Michael, with a collection of increasingly unlikely stories: seeing him on a bus, a friend apparently spotting him playing the fruit machines at an amusement arcade, and another receiving some unexpected advice from George about where to buy cheaper Crocs. Are any of these stories actually true? We have absolutely no idea.
Laurie’s grandad inevitably finds his way back into the conversation, there are more ridiculous stories from Terry, Kat and Laurie, and Ray Medallion crops up once again to add his own particular brand of nonsense.
It’s another episode of conversations going nowhere, stories that probably shouldn’t be believed and three people happily waffling their way through the beginning of 2017.
These archive episodes are being played here for the first time after being locked away for almost 10 years, carefully remastered and restored by Peters-Fox Ltd. And there’s plenty more to come — including brand-new When We Waffle later this year.
Hosted by Terry Mynott, Katrina Fox and Laurie Peters.
