Paris-based Dust Yard brings Symbiotical Records' catalogue to vinyl for the first time. Four tracks across dub house and deep house, each one doing its job.
"Far Away" opens with a tight low end, crisp hi-hats and dub chords locked into a groove you can follow for a while. "Higher" shifts the mood with pads and vocal fragments floating through the mix, the whole thing getting lighter and staying there. "Sunrise" pulls it back to the floor, denser and more direct, the dub chords carrying more weight. Finnish veteran TM Shuffle closes the B-side with his remix, subdued dub techno at 124 BPM, wide and carefully spaced. It's the one we're putting on the channel.
