Are you connecting with the RIGHT people on LinkedIn, or just anyone and everyone?
There is a BIG difference between growing your network and growing your network with intention.
In this episode, I break down the 2 types of people you should be connecting with on LinkedIn to build meaningful relationships and create more opportunities for your business.
1. Your Ideal Clients
Use LinkedIn's search engine to find people based on their professional titles, job roles, or industries.
Focus on 2nd-degree connections who fit your ideal client profile. And here's an important tip: If you don't personally know them, you don't need to add a connection note.
Simply click Connect, then Send without a note.
2. People LinkedIn Recommends to You
Head over to the My Network section of LinkedIn.You'll find suggested connections based on your recent activity, shared professional interests, and other relevant factors.
These are additional opportunities to expand your network with people who may share similar business interests or become valuable professional relationships.
Here's the biggest takeaway:
Stop connecting randomly and start connecting intentionally.
Not every connection needs to be a potential client, but every connection should have a purpose.
Some will become clients.
Some will become referral partners.
Some will become strategic collaborators.
And others will simply become valuable relationships within your professional network.
The goal isn't just to grow your connection count.
The goal is to grow a network that creates conversations, builds trust, and opens doors to new opportunities.
