Episode 314 of Tom Clark's 6M Podcast is a review of Thor: Love and Thunder. Tom and Phil Lindsey revisit the fourth solo Thor film starring Chris Hemsworth, with Natalie Portman back as Jane Foster, Christian Bale bringing Gorr the God Butcher to life, and Taika Waititi returning behind the camera. The movie aims for a cosmic adventure filled with humor and heart, and the guys discuss whether or not the film actually pulls off that balancing act. The end result may be a verdict that you don't expect.
The guys dig into Gorr's wasted potential, Jane's emotional storyline, the film's relentless comedy, the bizarre trip to Omnipotence City, and an ending that tries to bring everything back to love and family. They also discuss the movie's place in the MCU and why following Thor: Ragnarok proved to be such a challenge. Does this movie go too far with the comedy or is it pitch perfect based on where the main character was already heading? Tom and Phil dive into that and a lot more!
